Our Beginnings
In 2008, local business leader William Pride gathered a group of Panola County professionals and community leaders for the purpose of creating and establishing an endowment.
From the start, the goal for PCCF remained simple: to improve the quality of life for all Panolians—now and for generations to come.
As one of eight counties served by the Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi, Panola County maintains a solid partnership with the Community Foundation which serves to advise, guide, and provide matching funds. Established in 2002, the Community Foundation has grown to $5.8 million in assets and holds 74 funds established by individuals, families, businesses, non-profit organizations and private foundations. For more information about the Community Foundation, visit www.cfnm.org.
In 2008, the Panola County Community Foundation organized a local board, established bylaws, and began creating a strategic plan to raise $100,000.
The Panola County Community Foundation now serves as a bridge between individuals’ personal desire to give and the fulfillment of that charitable will.
