FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

PAINTING TO MAKE DEBUT AT CRYSTAL BALL AUCTION

The excitement and fun of the 2009 Crystal Ball pops out of the signature painting by Kay Robinson of Nesbit.  This beautifully framed mixed-media work will grace the marketing materials of the 9th annual Crystal Ball as well as the annual program for the Mardi Gras-themed evening on Jan. 17, 2009.

Robinson’s painting will be a highlight of the live auction.  Her background as a fashion and medical illustrator enabled her to breathe life into the New Orleans “fortune teller” gazing into her crystal ball.

“I imagine her saying, ‘I see a party in your future’,” Robinson said in reference to the Crystal Ball gala.

Crystal Ball Co-Chairmen, Lisa and Steve Beene of Southaven, invite everyone to the party, where not only will partygoers bid on the original signature painting, but will have a chance to place bids on exotic trips, unique golf outings and lots of other offerings in both the live and silent auction.

The Crystal Ball is the one and only fundraiser for the Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi.  This event assists the Foundation in fulfilling its mission of ‘connecting people who care with causes that matter’.

The Community Foundation is a charitable nonprofit organization that has attracted more than 500 donors since its beginning in 2002. It has made grants totaling $2.5 million to 200 nonprofit organizations and causes that are improving the quality of life in Northwest Mississippi.

Committees have been formed, and volunteers are always needed as January 17th draws near. Any who would like to assist in the planning or the night of the event may contact Shulanda Johnson at Volunteer Northwest Mississippi (www.volunteernwms.org) or call 662.449.5002.
