ENTERGY SUPPORTS VOLUNTEER NORTHWEST MISSISSIPPI 

The work of Volunteer Northwest Mississippi, the regions first volunteer center, got a boost forward recently when Entergy awarded the Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi a $1,000 grant through its Community Partnership Grant Program.

 Janaye Anderson, Volunteer Coordinator for Volunteer Northwest Mississippi, attended a luncheon on August 29 in Jackson and received the check on behalf of the Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi.

 Entergy has partnered with organizations such as the Community Foundation for a number of years and has given away thousands of dollars in grant funds to help make community improvement projects a reality. 

“We are glad to have been chosen to receive the award and look forward to utilizing the funds to better our communities of Northwest Mississippi and assist our volunteers by connecting people who care with causes that matter”, Peggy Linton, Community Development Director, Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi..
