The DeSoto County Prayer Council awarded its 2008 scholarship to senior Chelsea Kramer, a home-schooled student from Hernando.  She submitted her application accompanied by her 'Faith Walk' and was selected to receive the $500.00 scholarship.  Chelsea will be attending Christian Brothers University this fall.  Pictured are:  Rev. Chip Hatcher, co-founder of the DeSoto County Community Prayer Breakfast from which receipts of this event provide scholarships, Chelsea and her mother, Sarita, sister Christa and father George, Prayer Council member Gail Giaramita and Tom Pittman, CEO of the Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi which administers the scholarship fund.
